Sir,
I am directed to forward for information of your
Board copy of a Bill which is at present under consideration of Legislative Council and with reference to the words in Section 2
"not suitable for the feeding of infants under one year of age"
to enquire whether the Board consider (a) that machine skimmed
milk is not suitable for the feeding of infants under one year of
age and (b) that it is necessary to insert these words on the
label although this has not been required by the Imperial Act.
I am further to state that the Government proposes

to insert the words "on recommendation of the Ledical Board"
after the word "may" in Section 3, Subsection 28 (1) line 1 and
to enquire whether the Board has any objection to offer to the
proposal.

I shall be glad to receive an early reply to
this letter and if possible before Thursday next.
